Vineyards and Orchards

In the Bickley Valley there are nine Vineyards and one Cider House. Here you will find an introduction and details for each one. At the bottom is a handy map to help you work out where they are in relation to each other.

Wine Tasting
Aldersyde Estate

Mother and Daughter team, Di & Lara, run this lovely little winery and as the cellar door is in the winery production area you also get to see how the wine you are trying is made.

Formerly known as Piesse Brook until 2007 when Lara returned to run the wine making, they produce Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot and Cab Sav. Open for tastings 1pm to 5pm Sat and Sun.

Ashley Estate

This wonderful little vineyard is slightly different to all the others in the Bickley Valley, it only grows and produces Pinot Noir. Fortunately the Pinot Noir it does produce is fabulous.

In his underground cave of a cellar door, John Ashley has produced Pinot at Ashley Estate since 1988 and has around 3,000 vines. Tastings available from 11am to 5pm Sat and Sun.

Dennis is a real character and any visit to the cellar door to taste their range of wines isn't complete without learning a thing or two from Dennis.
