Bickley Valley Vineyards
The Bickley Valley is a beautiful spot just a short distance from central Perth. Situated up in the Perth Hills, just south of Kalamunda, there is a hidden gem that the people living in Perth are only just starting to discover.
Many Perth residents who have been in Western Australia all their lives have no idea that just 30 minutes away there are a collection of boutique vineyards and a cider house.
The fact that the vineyards are there at all is surprising to most people. However, the fact that the wine they produce is up there with some of the best wine regions in the world takes them even more by surprise.
Some people compare the Bickley Valley's beauty and wine making ability to that of Margaret River. Given that the Bickley Valley is that much closer to central Perth means it is far more accesible for a day out.
At the moment most venues are only open Friday to Sunday (apart from the Core Cider house - which is open Wednesday to Sunday), some are better known than others and some serve food whereas others only serve wine.
The purpose of this website is to help you to find out more about this hidden gem, so that you can jump in the car or join a tour to the Bickley Valley and find out for yourself why it is gaining a great reputation so quickly.
